Randy
Plett has been a professional photographer for over three
years and has been shooting stock photos for over five years. He
started his photography career while studying fine arts and graphic
design in college. "As a designer, I needed photos and clients
didn't always have the budget to hire a professional," he explains,
"I was amazed at the results I could get with my own simple
equipment." It was a naturally smooth transition from design
to photography after two years as a freelance designer. "Stock
photos are primarily used by graphic designers, so you need know
what they want, and how they can use it."
Randy is very passionate about creating unique,
beautiful images that inspire people, hence developing the name
'effinity.' "I'm always in love with a good photo, and a missed
opportunity can break your heart." He explains the word 'effinity'
as "somewhere between an F-stop, an affinity, and infinity."
He is also a professional photo editor, being
a self taught master of Adobe Photoshop. "I've been a photographer
for five years, but I've been using Photoshop for 15 years,"
he says."We want our models to look naturally beautiful by
using very subtle image enhancement."
If he isn't shooting, editing, or just thinking
about photography, he is interested in philosophy, the environment,
and loves hanging out with his seven year old daughter Chloe. |

Jayna
Marie Bussiere has been a professional freelance makeup
artist for three years. She studied makeup artistry at Blanche Macdonald
in Vancouver, B.C. and her work has been turning heads ever since.
"It's important to be professional but you should have fun
at the same time" she says, "I love what I do –
that's why you will always see me with a smile on my face!"
After working with Randy on a number of photo
shoots, Jayna naturally began taking more creative direction. Soon,
Randy proposed a partnership with Jayna, and her role as project
coordinator was established. Now, in addition to doing hair and
makeup, Jayna works hard at finding models, locations and making
Randy's concepts come to life. Most importantly, Jayna says "my
job is to keep the atmosphere light. I want to make sure a photo
shoot is the best possible experience for everyone involved!"
When she isn't with a brush in her hand, or a
phone to her ear, Jayna enjoys traveling, visiting with family,
and playing with her chihuahua named Monkey. See more of her work
at JaynaMarie.com
Monkey
is a three year old purebred chihuahua. You will often see him hanging
out on set or on location as the company mascot and head of security.
His bark isn't as big as his bite, and he enjoys long walks, and
of course, treats.
